Breaking News: Partnership with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions

EMG Solutions of Montgomery, AL, is excited to announce a partnership with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU), whose headquarters are in Provo, UT. This partnership provides that EMG Solutions will manage, promote, and execute RMU’s clinical electrophysiology continuing education and symposium programs.

This year, the Annual ENMG Symposium reached its 37th year of operation and has grown steadily since its first meeting, which involved only a few attendees, to over one hundred participants attending both on-site and online. The Annual ENMG Symposium has hosted many of the world’s premier researchers and practitioners as keynote speakers and is considered by many as the premier symposium for physical therapists who practice electrodiagnostic studies. Symposium attendees come together annually to participate in discussions of current research and patient care in electrodiagnosis.

Additionally, for over 30 years, RMU has offered three continuing educational courses in electrodiagnosis, including Basic ENMG Practice for Beginners, Intermediate ENMG Practice, and Advanced ENMG Practice. These courses have provided a strong basis for learning basic electrodiagnosis and expanding practice knowledge and skills.

EMG Solutions has formed a new company, The EMG Solutions Institute, which will take over the management, promotion, and execution of these educational courses and the symposium. EMG Solutions brings a strong record of training physical therapists in electrodiagnosis and boasts one of only two physical therapy residency programs in clinical electrophysiology that exist in the United States, and is the only residency that follows the medical model for residency. This strength will allow The EMG Solutions Institute to add a component of mentorship that has been missing from the previous continuing education course offerings.

The EMG Solutions Institute will not only offer mentoring options for students taking the courses but will expand the scope of the current offerings at the symposium, provide pre-con educational sessions, and expand marketing and promotion of the symposium and courses. This RMU/EMG Solutions partnership ensures that the RMU Annual Symposium and educational courses continue to educate healthcare providers at the highest level for many years to come.
